In the gruelling world of CrossFit, 5 times Commonwealth Games gold medallist and World Masters record holder David Morgan is a world record breaker.
Competing in a sport where the average age is 28, David, a 45 year old veteran by comparison, managed to shave 27 seconds off the record in a seemingly effortless but punishing circuit of weights and gymnastics. He added yet another world breaking record to his list of achievements.
Originally developed in California in 1995 as an all round training and ïŹtness programme for the police, CrossFitâs popularity is, according to Canadaâs Business News Network, âone of the fastest growing ïŹtness movements on the planetâ.
The idea is to have a high level of ïŹtness across the board, hence the name âCROSSFITâ, it combines weightlifting, gymnastic moves and general weight training into circuits that are usually done with speciïŹed weights in a speciïŹc time.
