Archos announced a pair of Android tablets this week that are both expected to retail for around $200. They were able to achieve the low price by using a lesser powered ARM9 Rockchip 2808 processor. The Archos 7 is a 7-inch tablet and the Archos 8 is an 8-inch picture frame.
Archos 7 highlights include:
- 7″ WVGA 800×480 touchscreen
- 600MHz ARM9 Rockchip 2808 CPU
- 128MB RAM
- 2GB or 8GB
- Android 1.5 OS
- 802.11b/g WiFi
- USB port, microSD support, built-in speakers
- 7-hour battery life for video, 44 hours for music
