Scramble for land and the greed of the Diaspora

By Abdi Saba.

Before I go into the discussion of "scramble for land as a fashion", it's important to define Oromo Diaspora. For the purpose of this article, Oromo Diaspora includes persons of Oromo origin who left the country under one of the following pretexts:

 • Diversity Visa Lottery
 • Resettled as refuges from neighboring countries
 • Asylee's – those who claimed political asylum due to fear of persecution upon return to country of origin.

The timeline when these people left their country goes as far back as 30 years, though a vast majority of Oromos left after the turmoil of the 1990's. Since then, most of these people either didn't visit the motherland or did so less frequently for various/obvious reasons. As such, there is a huge disconnection and greater home sickness. In their journey during resettlement, due to language and cultural differences, these people have struggled or are still struggling to manage the way of life in their host country.

One most astonishing facet of their behavior is a desire to return home after so many years and make an easy living there. That is reasonable and Ok however odd as this is not the case for European immigrants to the new world and other places. Even the most recent African immigrants in our localities don't have the same aspirations.

Realizing the strong longing, the Ethiopian Diaspora Affairs targets them upon their visa inquiry. After many years of careful underground preparation, the Diaspora affairs enlist opportunists who will in turn act as local recruiters. Here comes the issue of LAND. But before that, let me digress a bit again and define these land fashionmongers. Right from the outset, these are what we normally call "hin badadduus" (those who are careless) when it comes to Oromumma, Oromo struggle and sense of community. If we had to label community members based on their contribution/activism, these people fall in one of the following categories: · Those who either forgot the case they made up when they applied at GVA in Kenya or those who remember only that. · Those that are aging and became hopeless or impatient with the pace at which Oromo struggle is moving along.· Those who are fixated with regional or religious tendencies and hates everyone who is different from them, per say.

Now let us back track and talk about what I mean by "land grab as a fashion". Having received their piece of land in Shagar or the environs, the Diaspora affairs recruits will approach those easy targets first by telling them their success stories…how they built such and such house in Shagar…advice them to do the same…and to possibly get out of 'working to pay bills'. All these opportunists can think of is winning the hearts of these disorientated fellow Oromians. These predisposed individuals, some of whom if they didn't leave the country under alleged reason of OLF membership or fear of persecution, wouldn't even get the mere chance to go to Shagar once in their life time…so shouldn't they be saying "THANK YOU AMERICA!!"?. Hence, these thankful dishwashers/parking attendants/factory workers/cashiers/nursing home workers/janitors would gladly invest their hard earned money on a piece of land in Shagar with total disregard to the pros and cons.

Here you might ask what is wrong with building a house in Shagar or what are the pros and cons? On the surface or at its face value, investing your hard earned dollars in your beloved homeland has no harm. But there are two great dangers brought about by this campaign of "land grab as a fashion".

1. The process of acquiring a piece of land and its political victory for the OPDO.

Here is the story, having lost all confidence in Oromia in the highly contested May 2005 election, the Meles administration sought to increase its membership base outside of the country so as to minimize pressure from donors and "Ethiopian Diaspora". To that effect, the failed trips of Addisu Legesse and Minase W/Giorgsis's (imposter Abba Duula) to the Americas are fresh in our memories. In the case of Oromo Diaspora, Minase returned home having recruited enough sell-outs like him, including individuals like Nuguse Biratu, Dr Mohammed Bedasso, Duri Sharo, Mohammed Abdul-Sabur, Fikre, Hassan (who owns a barber shop at African international mall-who spoke on behalf of Oromo Community in Minnesota on OPDO agiprop claiming to be representative of the community), Mustafa Abdulahi and his brother Yusuf Abdulahi (both from MN), Dabala Rikitu (who once run an NGO by the name Peace African Community Center, pilfering money from the state by the name of grant for the center) and countless others in various places.

Another land mark case was the death of three prominent Oromo nationalists and leaders… the honorable Haji Adam Jilo, Obboo Sisay Ibsa and the late general Waqo Gutu. When the bodies of these highly honored freedom fighters was sent home to be buried at the place of their birth, OPDO made a sharp move organizing an honorary and ceremonial welcome. What a tragedy. The very quisling who forced their exile now showering praise on the fallen heroes---hating them alive, now loving them when dead. Some of those who went home to bury the remains of these great leaders including their own son's became sell-outs. This is the case of Mohamed Adam Jilo, Awal Bune, Hangasu Lugo and co, Bushra (from DC accompanied the body of the late Sisay Ibsa) and the list goes on. These sellouts were highly welcomed, were given Land Cruisers, their hotel expenses covered, and land was given to them at no cost in return for their influence in the Diaspora community…and future venture to recruit more OPDOs in Diaspora using their influential status as relatives of prominent Oromo leaders. This has played a key role in overturning former members of Waqo Gutu's party. Charlatans like Muranne (Mohamed Haji) and Fikre (another traitor from MN) who made dividing Oromos their main occupation are not major land owners in Oromia---- they both has reportedly 10,000 hectares of prime land...Not to build an estate but to sell and make huge profits at the expense of poor Oromo peasants from Adama and its environs.

What most people don't understand is the sophistication of the process of acquiring land…today if you want to buy a land in Oromia, you will be practically asked; if you took part in the protest against Minase's visit to the Americas, your name will be compared to the list of individuals they obtained from the Diaspora affairs sell-outs and an ID will be issued for you indicating membership to OPDO. Moreover, you will be asked for a reference from at least one secret Diaspora affairs agent in your host country and locale. They pride themselves with the political victory in this regard and its one proof to take it to their godfather (Meles). Does this benefit us as a nation? I will leave it to your judgment.

2. Land ownership issue and forced relocation or displacement

Historically, the Abyssinian northerners came to Oromia and took our land in thousands of gasha's...and gave it to their respective galtu's. Almost ironically, even some Oromos also bought land in thousands of hectares…becoming Abba Lafaa's. After the "land to the tiller" campaign and the land proclamation …that trend was reversed and the Naftagna's/Abba Lafaa's lost their huge land holdings. Today the same trend continues where rich Tigrians, Amharas and others, this time from the Diaspora, are taking land away from the poor Oromo farmers in Shagar, its environs and elsewhere. These poor farmers were given little or no money as a compensation for their land…and were dispossessed with no consideration to where they might end up. Most of them are becoming homeless beggars or alcohol addicts. Once again, I will leave to your rational judgment what kind of impact this will have in the long run on those communities and on our nation at large.

Finally, I would like to conclude by simply reiterating what happened in early 1990s when TPLF came to biyya Oromo. These TPLF guerillas were so dumb that they didn't know the difference between egg and potatoes as eloquently put by the late singer fighter Eebbisa Adunyaa. It was an Oromo who brought them to our mountains, valleys and our villages…only to imprison, torture and kill innocent civilians for alleged connection with Oromo Liberation Front that helped oust the communist regime. This trend continues to this date only because of OPDO…Wayane's can kill/torture/exile as they wish fit…and you all will agree that their days in Oromia will be numbered if not for OPDO.

In this free world therefore; where you can say what you want to and get away with it and at this age where technology is at our finger tips, I feel obliged to expose some of their Diaspora associates that covertly live among us and pretend to be nationalists.

The following pictures were taken during the "official visit" of the disgusted "Oromian regional government delegation" to the U.S. I would like to make clear that these pictures are given to me by one of their associates who once tried to recruit me – safuu. He finally decided to share it with me and also expose these few individuals who are becoming the neo-gobenas, after he was thrown out of the circle. Though I am thankful for his effort, I am not sure why he refused to disclose the identity of some of the people pictured.

In the following pictures the so called OPDO delegation members headed by Dr Mohammed Hassan; including Muktar Kadir (Vice-President of Oromia regional state), Alamayo Atomsa, Fikadu Tassema, Mangistu Hailu and Getacho Badhane are pictured more than once.

Shattered Dream
OLF garichoo tiyya, why did you remove the photos of the Oromo delegation and Washingtonians who wish to build homes in their birth villages? That is sad. You could have displayed it on the internet until your focoism in Western capitals could liberate the Oromo.
Fighting did not work for you in the past forty years. Perhaps scandal and mischief would. In 1978, Baroo Tumsaa and Yohannis Lataa fled Shaggar to join Jarraa, who was already fighting under the name of OLF. They had a plan to be Che Guevera and Fidel Castro of the Horn of Africa by taking over the leadership of the front. But soon there was a conflict between Jaarraa and the “wise men”. Jaarraa refused to give up the leadership.
The conflict could have been resolved peacefully but they didn’t try. The sad thing is that they turned to guns to resolve their old scores. They assassinated Baroo and separated. The Lion of Lataa flew to Europe abandoning focoism. But this was not what Che did in 1950s. The tragedy shattered the spirit and dreams of the entire Oromo.
For years, Eastern and Western Oromos blamed each other for the assassination of Baroo. The Westerna and Christian Oromos blamed Jaarraa for the assassination while, the Eastern blamed the Lion of Lataa for doing this in an attempt to take over the leadership of the front. Jaarraa later abandoned the name OLF and renamed his group IFLO (Islamic Front for the Liberation of Oromiyaa). But both failed.
Jaarraa failed because he embraced Muslim Oromos, especially the Harargees and alienated others while the Lion failed when he relied on the churches in Germany for funding and ignored Oromos and the cause. He and his men traveled all over the world preaching liberation but avoided going to Oromiyaa. They engaged in making money by giving promises that never came. Fed up of false promises, some of the leaders began to defect from the front as they robbed enough money for them and their families. Jeilu Abubakar, the OLF finance chief defected to US in 1989 stealing $85,000 from the front to build a large villa in Qabbanaa. When OLF took power together with the EPRDF in 1991, Jeiluu flew to Shaggar and took appointment to become a diplomat in Ethiopian Embassy in Washington. He became corrupted when he asked several women for sex to sign their passports. Even before this scandal, he took a new Ethiopian girl to his apartment in DC and raped. The sad thing is that he got away with this crime. Now he is shouting slogans in DC streets to kill HR 2003, another crime.
Jeilu is not the only OLF leader known for corruption. Diimaa Nogoo was in Nairobi, Kenya in mid 1990s as an OLF leader. He had a brand new Mercedes Benz purchased by the money the people contributed for the front. The car was stolen when he was enjoying a prostitute at a Nairobi ghetto.
Recently, OLF leaders even stepped one step forward by making the name OLF, a commercial enterprise. They sent their agents to Ethiopia, Kenya. Djibouti, Somalia and sold asylum applications to the Oromos who wish to go abroad for economic reasons. They have no dream of keeping the people at home and find a better opportunity for them. At the same time they are trying to stop Oromos in Diaspora who wish to invest and help their people. This shows that they don’t know what they are doing except working for the benefit of the people that they once labeled as Naftegnaa. It is for Kinijjit. This is sad. TD

In What Capacity can you help today Oromo Struggle?

What is the OLF Atrocity and history of the OLF in eastern region?
We I look at history of the world everybody has been committed crime against the innocent people. Always the history has been recorded. thought many years of bitter struggle of our people has brought the Oromo into the forefront of the world stage. The Ethiopian regime’s injustice, subjugationof Oromo people and the other nationalities and occupation of Oromiyaa has resulted in large magnitude of human suffering and sacrifice. What the article being outrageous by Abdii sabaa by Labeling the Oromo individuals and what Evil ,atrocity and shamed to the OLF according to their work of evilness in oromo Society in back home when cutting like cattle when they do not support their Organization one of my friend there was shocked Video showing that they burning innocent houses and their bodies in harar region by claiming they support Odorant also one person told me the OLF soldiers cutting the man like cattle. Today OLF have a group of people that organized killing of the people for their purpose, if they have chance in North America they will be killed for those who are not supported their Organization. But they cannot do that in America, when I said this there is a lot of evidence and human suffering particularity in countryside of eastern Oromia region like Hararghe and Bale and eastern Shawa.

What is the Armenian Genocide ?The atrocities committed against the Armenian people of the Ottoman Empire during W.W.I are called the Armenian Genocide. Genocide is the organized killing of a people for the express purpose of putting an end to their collective existence. Because of its scope, genocide requires central planning and a machinery to implement it. This makes genocide the quintessential state crime as only a government has the resources to carry out such a scheme of destruction. The Armenian Genocide was centrally planned and administered by the Turkish government against the entire Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire. It was carried out during W.W.I between the years 1915 and 1918. The Armenian people were subjected to deportation, expropriation, abduction, torture, massacre, and starvation. The great bulk of the Armenian population was forcibly removed from Armenia and Anatolia to Syria, where the vast majority was sent into the desert to die of thirst and hunger. Large numbers of Armenians were methodically massacred throughout the Ottoman Empire. Women and children were abducted and horribly abused. The entire wealth of the Armenian people was expropriated. After only a little more than a year of calm at the end of W.W.I, the atrocities were renewed between 1920 and 1923, and the remaining Armenians were subjected to further massacres and expulsions. In 1915, thirty-three years before UN Genocide Convention was adopted, the Armenian Genocide was condemned by the international community as a crime against humanity.

1945, hundreds of thousands of Serbs, Jews, and Romas, as well as anti-fascists of many nationalities, were murdered at the death camp known as Jasenovac. Estimates of the total numbers of men, women and children killed there range from 300,000 to 700,000. And yet, despite the scale of the crimes committed there, most of the world has never heard of Jasenovac.

Americans still donÌt know about propaganda designed to demonize the Serbs, to hide the reality of Croatian fascism, and to the Bosnian Muslim.

From Wilderness to the World stage
( Brutalization of Oromo Growing Worry )

The Coward OLF Politicians

Sometimes it is very difficult to understand why the selfish people use others as a stooge to fulfill their malicious dreams of dominating and exploiting the indigenous people of that part of the continent. Nothing is more discourage able than seeing OLF leaders in Asmara group being Victimized the Oromo people in hand of Abyssinian elites again and again under the name of this group when I said OLF I really apologize for those who give their life in Oromo struggle, because there is a lot Oromo Great Leaders in that Organization like Jamal Robale,Nadhii Gamada,Elemo Qilxu,Mul’is Abbaa Gada and other Great Oromo leaders who sacrevis for Oromo people in last twenty five years. Why the Oromo people choosing the wrong people who even doesn’t know about the Oromo struggle and reality and they may though the struggle is like gambling or walking on Columbia Road in Washington DC and sometimes go around Star bucks Coffee area. This boys Like Hassan Hussein the son ISAPA,Sisay Ayale Bati ( Lencho Bati ) Bula Atomsa who trying to get his green card by name of the OLF,Alemayu Baisa,Amano Dube,Teshite Wako,Jamel Ganno,Ali Tahiro and other small Puppets under their Mastermind Yohannis Lata ( Lencho Lata ) and the Cowards OLF politician camp designers like Daud Ibsa,Abbaa Chaala the brother of yohannis Lata, Diima Nago, and others who always a took claim the whole Oromo people and put their OLF fighters an unprecedented way and butchered Oromo freedom fighters in their caps they designed for that purpose. Anyhow, the history will never forgive OLF leaders in Asmara who put the oromo gallant patriots in those traps by undermining every Oromo Organizations.. Failure for insidious their politicians it would be a threshold to more political crisis within their own Organization who had been hiding their poisonous sting for long time by their sweet words. It is outrageous speaking on Radio for insulting the oromo people who trying to build a houses in Oromo land to develop for their own social, economic and Family life. It is an in excusable mistake as far Oromo’s Individual dignity is concern. Why they don’t talked about their glaring peculiarity of their Alliance with Ahmara Organization at large the EUDF and CUD. The mysterious Marriage of this enemies is extremely absurd logically as well as politically. If we see the analogical aspect of it ,its leads us to the question of why OLF was founded in the first place. Why did those OLF Asmara group leaders associate themselves with a century-old enemies ? still this perception has no validity in comparison to the bitter relationship between EUDF and CUD Abyssinian organization and Oromo people. there has never been a friendly relationship between them, it was a relation between a master ,slave and a colonizer. The Objective of the oromo national Struggle is not a matter of choosing CUD Abyssinian masters. Everything has a limit. If individuals and some gang Organization are duplicate from time to time the same old tactic for their own survival, for how long should the entire society tolerate their gossips and endure the traumas of the Consequence? In most cases ,silence is agreement even though that is not true in its generality. The Oromos are silent when they give ample time to the evil-doers to correct their mistakes and come forward and confess. If such a golden opportunity is miss-used, the society will give the Evil-minded individuals or groups, an forgettable lesson will ring in their minds forever. It has neither time nor intention to spend on responding to every allegation created by Wantons and opportunists who strife to remain as the vassals of their HABASHA masters. More importantly we have obligation to protect our oromo people integrity and therefore hereby gives a response to the Abdii Sabaa (Abdi Sobaa ) who ever he is. Nothing might seem more dull than telling the people to believe the manufacturing their mythical words Mr. Abdii Sobaa did not mention on his article a single thing about the his fellow Ahmar’s atrocity toward our people. Of course, since their objectives are dove-tailed with that of the Abyssinian group, we do not expect to do so. Similarity, it is equally shame for Oromo politicians who involved themselves in disseminating the speaking as valid word. In most general definition, messrs of effort falls into category of Abyssinian tactics of Labeling the Oromo Individuals. It is obviously designed to divide Oromos in order to perpetuate the luxury life of the Coward Politicians who are insatiable of power. As the genuine children of Oromia .Nothing is more important to us than our freedom. Fighting with Abyssinian Colonizers is not a new Phenomena for us, we were born in war and brought up in it. In process, most of us lost our parents and loved ones. That atrocity is still fresh in our minds. We did not get the news of Abyssinian genocide towards oromo people from Columbia Road in Washington DC and Star Bucks Coffee in Minneapolis. We witnessed it, we tasted it. Regardless of the various aggressive means and cruel action the Habasha rulers used to suppress, at the time you were serving your Ahmara God-Fathers and Fathers –in-law, the children of Oromo Heroes had been waging bitter struggle with the Abyssinian colonizers you would still like to defend and coordinating with under the name of Oromo Liberation Front you claim Today. The military regime and the Oromo struggle has been tasted the oppressed peasant in Oromia have struggled a long against the oppression and exploitation through mass uprisings in Bale,Harar leading by Abdulkarim Ibrahim ( Jaarra Abbaa Gada ),Borana, and shawa. However since there was not integrated the popular uprisings in themselves did not attain critical mass to topple the regime. in general, the oromo peasant resistance alarmed and frightened the Ethiopian regime, dispute its use of extensive for the further the government used aircraft to bomb the Oromo civilian in Bale. Accordingly ,such heavy measures caused a heavy casualty, and lost of property eventually state of emergency was declared in the region subsequently to a bloody fight, leading by General Wako Gutu, Haji Adam Jilo, General Hussein Bune, Mohamud Bune and Haji Isak Dadhi and other great Oromo followers. Sadly enough, it appear Today that OLF is more comfortable in its collaboration with the Eritrean Government and CUD Abyssinian Organizations rather than to trust the fellow Oromos in the Struggle and Labeling the Oromo individual who are not accepted their merciless ego. Oromo peasants always victimized under the name of this group called OLF( Shanee Gumii ) when we look at the history of Ethiopian empire I want to touch give the summary of the Geo-political culture between Ethiopia and the Oromo People.

I have been fully realizes the present day global reality that the international community do have legitimate concern and interest in the peace and stability of the Horn of Africa as in any other parts of the world. The chronic famine and vicious cycle of political conflicts that ravage the oromo people and peoples of Ethiopia do have international ramifications. The war devastating the Oromo people and other community in the country and Ethio-Eritrean war, the frequent incursions by the Ethiopian army into Kenya and Somalia, the conflict between the ethnical community, and similar regional problems cannot be solved without probing into the underlying causes of the problems to understand the real issues. This brief highlights Ethiopian history background information for those genuinely interested to understand the genesis of the political conflict in Ethiopia over 100 years and to help seek a just solution.
2. Geo-cultural Setting
The Horn of Africa, which comprises primarily the countries of Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, and the Sudan, is the ancestral home of the Cushitic people. The region has been the primal home of homo sapien and an early outpost of human civilization. The Horn covers variegated climatic zones from arid through semi-arid and wetland, from shrubs through savannah woodland and lush forest. The region exhumes variety and diversity of flora and fauna. The rainfall is variable and seasonal. There are parts of the region that are threatened by desertification due to natural or induced environmental degradation. The arid and semi-arid zones where rainfall is too low and/or unreliable are drought-prone.

The Oromo constitute the largest Cushitic group in all of Africa. Their population is estimated at some 30 million, a good half of the total population of the Ethiopian state. Despite policies persistently followed by successive autocratic governments of Ethiopia in the past to change the demographic composition of regions through resettlement schemes and forced assimilation, each national group has maintained a distinct cultural identity of its own with its own language and its own separate and well-defined territory throughout the millennia.
This will probably be maintained for the foreseeable future given the fact that some 88.7 percent of the population of the country still remains rural, with the 11.3 percent mostly first generation urban population spread out over some 656 towns.
The Oromo people have a distinct culture and language of their own. They are a fiercely egalitarian people that have lived under a remarkable and complex indigenous democratic system known as Gada--in which political, military and other leaders including legal experts are elected for non-renewable eight-year term from among males who excel during five eight-year long grades of continuous training. That the Oromo culture and the symbols of egalitarian Gada democratic government and other institutions have continuously endured the last 105 years of continuous open and clandestine war by foreign forces is a remarkable testimony to the endurance of the Oromo cultural identity and democratic heritage. The Oromo people are followers of three major religions: Islam, Christian, and indigenous Oromo religion. Because of their democratic heritage, there is no religious extremism or intolerance among the people.

There is another graphic : When the inflatuation between EPDRF and OLF came to the end , and when conflict began in place, the Yohannis lata ( lencho) spread exaggeration rumors with the claim that OLF has infiltrated commandos in Addis-Ababa and at the same time handed the keys to their office in orderly manner to the EPDRF and fly to the Bole airport, after that moment it has accordingly slaughtered the Oromo peasants, women and children who have refused to support it. Later, when frustrated and lost confidence in gorilla tactics, the OLF began to kill Civilians and destroy public property with explosives. Therefore the OLF has committed actions in main areas like Harar and Bale it has also inflicted serious damage and killing their own OLF members.
With such convoluted perception of history and by going against the gain of Oromo freedom. Not surprisingly, this is uncharacteristic of their background.
The dependent the elements are even engaged in Clandestine acrobatics.
This desperate action where the OLF is must be judge, prosecutor and executioner can only be connected with a sick mind.

What is tragic indeed they continue the foolhardy activities aimed to at destroying they are completely eliminated by the conscious struggle of the Oromo people and coordinating with their old Habasha Masters; please look at this activities that has been done by OLF and CUD by coordinating each other for Ethiopian Unity.

CUD and OLF coordinating resistance for Ethiopian Unity

There is one and only source of meaning, healing and happiness for any nation, that has stood the test of time, and that source is Unity of our grandfathers. The greatest honor we can ever on our nation is pride of establishment and achievements its own our son and brother for Struggling national movement the historical and social achievement and Alliance with our brothers of Ethiopian OLF “CUD and EPPF) It has never been happened again to lost our brother and sons and never will be the divide the Unity of our people of Ethiopian.
There are several ways we can coordinate the struggle. The obvious leaders should come not only from the UEDF and CUD, but also from other opposition leaders. The courage shown by the Oromo Federalist party MPS and the OLF leadership is a clear indication that several years of behind the scenes persuasions are showing a positive outlook on how Ethiopian leaders of all perspectives have begun to see the need to protect one another and to work for a common home/destiny.
The leaders of the civic movements have particularly demonstrated what it is like to be an all-inclusive insightful pathfinder. Above all, the Ethiopian people at large have exposed the hypocrisy of democracy on papers and of western duplicity.
Ethiopians' pursuit for a free society is at a crucial stage. The stage we are at requires ability to see beyond the narrow confines of party advantages. We have many built in advantages and good-will to lead the Civil Disobedience towards its natural culmination-the ending of the ethno-apartheid dictatorship and the establishment of a pluralistic federal governance.
To achieve this objective, we need to pull together on a minimum programmed:-
Defending each other, coordination resistance across all parts of Ethiopia and avoiding antagonism between individuals and our Ethiopian Unity organizations like CUD,UEDF and OLF A proper coordinating of the Civil disobedience resistance on an all-inclusive basis. It is a failure that The CUD and UEDF made several appeals for public rallies without consulting with each other. We need to learn from the mistakes so far that partisan approaches not only fail, but also expose opposition leaders and our people to targe

The intention of the founders of the OLF was to liberate the Oromo people from the enslavement of black colonialism. Their struggle and the efforts of Oromos who have been organized under various organizations finally liberated the people from the shackles of oppression and enslavement.

But today the OLF has embraced the former masters of the Oromo by creating alliance with Kinijjit, the descendents of the people who despised the Oromo, who used to address the OLF as “tegenxaay”, “xebbaab beheretegnaa” and “zeregnaa.” Who could forget such inflammatory proverbs as, “Gaallaannaa segeraa iyyaader yegemaal?” The only people who forgot such offensive proverbs are Badii Dabaa and his masters.

Today the OLF is even moving further to scaring the Oromos in USA not to visit their places of birth, invest on hospitals and schools. This is equal to opening war on the very people that OLF founders had pledged to liberate. It is now time to condemn these hypocrites who are engaged in a cyber war on Oromos, wasting the money they begged from Eritrea and their Godfather, Kinijjit. DDS

I am compelled to respond to this outrageous article, motivated by mediocres (the messangers of the enemies and thier puppies). For a long time I preached against this regional war, BUT when the honored, fallen heros like Wako Gutu and Adam Jilo become the talk of mediocres (kashlabbees), I can no longer sit back and absorb. They deserve better! These fallen heros and their sons are the ones who are responsible for recording the great history that we all cherish today. History so great and so influencial and transformative that gave some of these mediocres and puppies beautiful names such as Yohannis Lata (imposter Lenco Lata), Yohannis Nagaho (imposter Diima Nagahoo), Yohannis Banti (Galaasaa). Thier puppies include Sisay Ayala (imposter Lenco Bati) and hasan the son of "isapa leftover". Briefly, I tell you about hese mediocres and their puppies and their aspirations. They were recruited by their Amhara masters, when the Oromo struggle from East Oromia rose to its highest peak to counter the struggle. One such evidence was what happenned in Harar province. The oromo struggle in this region was scared the Naftanyas the masters of these mediocres. These mediocres were sent to counter that struggle. They changed their names to beautiful oromo names. At this time the oromo struggle was led by Jarraa Abbaa Gadaa, he welcomed them and tought them about oromummaa and struggle. In turn, they turned oromos against each other. As a result oromo brothers and sisters fought each other for 17 years, when the mediocres masters and soldiers lived in peace. There will be accountability one day, oromos have not forgotten. Brave Oromos continued the struggle in Bale, Borena, and its surroundings led by Wako Gutu. When they were organized in the country and neighboring country, the mentioned mediocres joined the struggle again halted these struggle. What I have just mentioned is nothing compared what I will publish in any available oromo media there is next.

There is this amharic saying"Yeshiroo denfata wuha isiki gabaleti newu"Now it seems is your days but rememeber this is not about olf at all.It is about you who are associated with the crime family of tigray while they kill innocent oromoos. It is not about OLF at all,is it all the poor oromo farmers connected to olf?or 14 or 15 years old school boys and girls connected to olf when they arrested in the school? It is you who associated with the nazis and to grab power and land and all the benefites comes with it.I wish you are infront of me or in the same coffee shop or restuarant with me,I have no mercy for the people like you.I will kill you with my bare hare you idiot. You can't talk anything against my people in my presence at all and you don't even have the guts at all.Now you are in you room and you can say whatever you idiot hodam gantuu.Time will tell. You will never ever escape when all this is over you sellouts.OLF didn't ask you to go home, it is you who associated to fill your gara.Akka jedhu oromoon""QOOTOON MAAL NUGODHEE< DABAATUU NUUKESSATTI DHALATEE WA NUGODHEE MAALEE"oromo came up with this beautiful proverb right after they were defeated by minilk who was greatly helped by Gobana Daccee.Gobanaa was dabaa man to the oromoos of the day and today.whoever associated with the enemy is our enemy. That is our oromo prinicipal.believe or not.whoever with the enemy is gantuus. And when all this over we will hunte them down including their family even their distance niece and cousins any one is responsible including your grands, uncles whoever your circles are.we will hunt you down. This is about oromo not about olf.if you have any problem with olf you talk to olf.But don't go home to take the lands of poor oromo farmers with out compensation.Bye taking the land you are removing oromo farmers from they own lands.

Thank You OLF

Thank you for posting my pictures on the internet together with the delegation of the great nation, the Oromo. Such opportunities come perhaps ones in a life time. I am glad that our pictures will be displayed to be seen all over the glob. If you wish to post more photos, I will be glad to send you.

There is an Amharic proverb that said “melke xifuun, be sim yideggifuu.” This saying is good for you who bear a glorious name, “OLF” when you, the players are either confused or deliberately dishonest. There is another proverb, “Gowwaniif woraqanni waan qabe gadi hin dhiisu.” Have you read the story of the WW II Japanese soldiers who stayed on the Pacific islands looking for American soldiers to kill long time after the war was over? Of course it needs brain to test whether the war is over or not. For Oromiyaa the war is over.

Ok dudes, you don’t know who I am but posted my pictures with a caption that said “gantuu”. I have been dying for the rights of the great people long before you could find the location of your mother’s breast. Why don’t you go home and fight to take power from the government instead of stealing a camera from a conference room? Of course you didn’t know this is crime in a democratic country.

What is wrong with having a piece of land in your home land? 99.9% of Oromos who now live in USA, including you came for economic reasons. It is to work and make money. It is to make your life better and support families back home. Are you against this process? If your endless rhetoric is to seize political power in Oromiyaa or Ethiopia, you will never ever get such a chance. You have lost the war against the Oromos. Do you know how many Jaarraa and Waaqoo fighters as well as innocent Oromos you killed in early 1990s? I am surprised that you praised the late Waaqo in the jargon you now posted.

Please, gentlemen, go home and have a piece of land in your qe’ee. If you don’t want to live on it because you are engaged in a worldwide “raama,” let your mothers and grand mothers have a roof over their heads.

Dear CUD/CDA,
I'm sorry i forgot to include Hassan Ali.However the reason i maintained these traitors is based on the "never to late".to leave the nazi camp. And to tell you the truth none of those people are not from my area.I don't believe in any sort of village river or district thing.it just not me.I don't believe in anything other than your OROMUMMA.However gantuus must be brought to justice by any means neccessary. My enemy is whoever involved with this crime family of tigray.you might think you are doing against OLF.But remember you are doing against your own people. That is where you are wrong and you will be hunted down and killed.Everything you are doing today with this crime family is against the general public of oromo at large.so your punshiment will be costly. To your death. And any body for example your own family,if they are your benefitters they too are criminals. No one will escape from this truth.we will bring them to justice from whererever they might hide.No one will escape. For the record, we have their names and their birth places and their assocites.

Dear A.G,
Why do you list these traitors(Gidada,Mako and Dhibbissa)? They were and are part of the atrocious and murderous regime that has a blood of innocent Oromo. They thought OLF will come to power shortly and changes side as they are opportunists. By the way why did you forget Hasan ALi? Is he not the first to abandon OPDO? The fact that they are from your district doesn't make them innocent bystanders. THEY HAVE HELPED TPLF TO EXTEND ITS MINORITY RULE. They will be judged like every traitor.

This is not about OLF.we are talking about how some gantuus are running to grab some land from the crime family.we all know the previous OPDO members left the camp because it's against their own people. For example,The ex president Dr.Negasso Gidada, former house speaker adde Alamaz Mako, former oromia ......Abbo Yonataan Dhibissa,........Etc.So after all this people left and they told us the regime is against our people, how come some body going home and associating him/her with this regime?can we learn from the past?or ignore the past and go home and associate with murderous regime? Here is unforgiving mistake you are making, you know that this crime family was/is not good for all oromoos.how the hell you go and grab your own land from this regime?you should rather kill before you are doing that.Because you are associating with the enemy of the majority of the population of that empire.so do you think stil;l good idea to go and invest in this political climate? No hell no! If you do dig your own grave before I arrive cause i don't have mercy for my enemy. My enemy must go.unless i do that i can't get good sleep.

You can learn how politians behave when running political activities here in America since you were part of a tax payer to benefit yourself. Acting like a bandit which came from monkey mental has no place here and any where in the modern world.
Why don't you go and fight in Oromia if you are really brave enough as you pretend to be? or else shut up! and enjoy an opportunity given to you here in America.

Cut the crap, and smell this. If one advising others not to live in his own country and even try to labell those who choose to do so as associate of woyanne so be classified as gantu, then my question is what is gantu in first place? If you are sitting abroad and sip your whisky instead of mobilizing people to go and fight, then you are gantu too. Why does it seems right encouraging people just to leave the country and live abroad to do nothing? it seems to me as if someone trying very hard to paralize oromo struggle. There were brave people who wanted to sacrifice their life by engaging the enemy face to face but they were advice instead to leave the country and do nothing abroad. This is systematic house arrest. Look where our would be liberators are today, they are in Asmara, and day to day we hear more about Ogadeni than oromo on oromo websites. We are acting more like mercinary. I believe those who want to live in their country can do so but please never, never forgett our situation, get job in NGO's,government, private, and help your folk...have a nice journey. Those of you who are living comfortable life abroad this is my advice; don't just sitt and point fingers at everything that moves. Now you had enough time to teach people about oromo movement but if people are leaving you it means you hadn't done your job properly, therefore look into yourself and correct your mistakes. Ask yourself; how many people did we convinced and sent back to fighting field? Don't just sitt and practice slander politic. Our slogan should always remain as; LETS GO AND FIGHT AND FIGHT.

Here is the type of OLF propogada game: Every Oromo individual has a God-given right to do their willing. These simple Oromos as you labeled them "dishwashers," "cleaners" and "gas station attendaners" are returnig to their homeland to invest. As a phrase coined by Adam Smith known as "INVISIBLE HAND" to describle the process that turns self-directed gain into social and economic benefit for all, similarly, the investment benefit is for all because it help people in employment and enhanced social development in Oromia.

These hopeless diasporas who were hijacked under the OLF nonsense policies have nothing to do but to discarage their members not escape from an imaginary Empire. An Empire building is too old now beyond any attraction to any oromos; Kinijit is your partners not OPDO.

Kudos to you for writting up such an important article surrounding a controversial issue. I truly believe Oromiya shall be free from the Abyssinian notherners becuase of proud oromos like you who genuinely believe in oromo cause and who will never trade in their oromumma for material gain. Having said that it's not a new phenomena to witness SELL-OUTs pictured above among oromos. It might be relatively new occurrence in diaspora, but this has been going in Oromia for more than a century. As you mentioned in your article, the tigray led regime is taking every approach to prolong their stay on power and continue their evil acts against oromo people. What we are seeing here is another political drama taking place in the context of diaspora. Now Meles and his followers have been successful in recruiting new incoming class from diaspora to conduct their dark mission. Obviously, their mission is the one that is simple and usual. Their mission is to delay the date of freedom of oromo people by any means possible. What is really sad and disgraceful about this situation is that these are people who have been actively involved around oromo communities in daiaspora. I believe some of the people on the picture are actually individuals who have been supporting the enemy in the pastwhile pretending to be supporters of oromo struggle. I would like to leave the readers with few thoughts and questions? It would be more important for every oromo in diaspora to ask him/herself question like, who are these people representing oromo communities in diaspora? Bottom line is we need to be actively involved in our community to figure out who is doing what in the name of oromo community. The question I would like to ask those people is that is is worth it to affiliate themselves with OPDO/Woyane regime at any level, considering the current political climate. This is totally sending a mixed signal to oromos back home who are paying the real price for freedom.

thanks, Abdii Sabaa “They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." Benjamin Franklin, 1759

There are many who showed us their motives and commitments for personal egos with their chameleons approach to the Oromo nation cause. They often forget that they had no right to affect their own nation with such disgust. They often forget the cry of Oromo nation that vibrates the entire BiyyaOromoo with echo of Lafadamaa, Lafagajamoo, Lafaamolee etc. In their recent deed, they forget that they are buying and selling what actually belongs to the Oromo people. BiyyaOromoo belongs to the Oromo people. I am convinced that they will lose faster than the deal they have made.

This is foolish propoganda. If Oromos go back to thier country because condition are good for them who a hell this propogandist think he is that he can stop them from doing that? If they left their country thinking it was not good for them just by their personal decision why should they ask OLF to go back now? For that matter many Oromos are struggling in Ethiopia much better than OLF that is locked up in Asmara. What does this author want the Oromo people do when what they stood for is no more relevant?
How can some one be gantu just because he went back to his country thinking his country is safer than before. Such propoganda may attract those who made a lot of damage to themselves by doing funny politics. Because they can not go home for obvious reasons other must not go. Give me a brake!
